Massage Therapy
Work.  Eat.  Sleep.  For too many of us, that’s the daily routine.  Whether you’ve noticed it or not, this kind of schedule can have adverse affects on the body.  Untreated, constant stress, lack of relaxation, and tense muscles can wear a person down over time.  Fortunately, each one of those symptoms can be eased with a single treatment. Most of us know that massage therapy helps reduce pain and improve relaxation.  What many don’t know is that massage also provides relief for a multitude of specific health concerns. Massage  provides a boost to the immune system that can help one stay healthy and full of energy.

Your First Massage
At La Dulce Vida Spa we believe everyone should be able to take advantage of the wonderful therapeutic and stress relieving benefits of massage therapy. If you've never visited La Dulce Vida or have yet to receive a professional massage therapy session, we thought it would be helpful for you to know what to expect on your first visit. Please do not make an appointment for a massage if you are not feeling well.

Meet and Greet
Once you arrive at La Dulce Vida Spa, please take a seat at the table in the portal You will be greeted there and the Spa Manager will inquire about the reason(s) you are coming for a massage, your current physical condition and any specific areas in which you are experiencing pain or would like addressed during your massage.You will be introduced to your therapist. They speak very little English.

The Treatment Room
Your massage therapist will then take you to a peaceful treatment room where a comfortable massage table dressed with a warming blanket and crisp clean sheets awaits.  She will show you where to put your personal belongings and a chair is also provided for your use. Your massage therapist will leave the room and wait outside while you disrobe to your level of comfort. Most clients prefer to completely disrobe, while some will remain partially clothed. Once disrobed, you will lie on the massage table, under the top sheet. Please lay face down.  Your massage therapist will give you a few minutes for this process and will knock on the door to ask if you are ready before entering your room.

You will always be draped with the top sheet during your massage session and an additional blanket is available at your request. Your massage therapist will only uncover the part of the body they are working on, ensuring that your modesty is respected at all times.

You can expect a tranquil and comfortable environment during your massage. The massage table is padded and a heating blanket is placed beneath the sheet, which you can have adjusted to your preference. There will be relaxing music playing, unless you request otherwise.

Your Needs First
Before beginning the session, your therapist will ask you to alert them if, at any time during the session, a technique or stroke they are using is uncomfortable. Depending on your specific needs or requests, your massage therapist will either perform a customized full-body massage (for general relaxation and stress reduction) or focus on the specific parts of your body that you have requested. La Dulce Vida Spa uses only the highest quality hypo-allergenic massage creams (Bio-tone) and lotions during your treatment.

To Paradise and Back
Most of our massage therapy sessions are one hour in length. This time includes 5 minutes to disrobe and become comfortable on the table, 50 minutes of hands-on time and 5 minutes at the end for you to re-dress. Once your massage therapy session is completed, your therapist will leave the room so you may re-dress. Your therapist will wait outside the room for you, and then take you back to the entrance of the Spa. This is the time you may wish to tip your therapist; $7.00-$10.00 is a typical gratuity, which may be given directly to the therapist. After your treatment you may wish to prolong the effects of the treatment by taking a Siesta.

Sweetheart’s Escape for Two
(Two and one-half hrs.)
Your escape begins with a candle-lit, side by side, 50 minute massages to soothing spa music. Complete your treatment with two pedicures and a reflexology session in the Jacuzzi Chairs while enjoying frosty Margaritas, Limonadas or Herbal Tea and botanas.  $225 per couple

Royal Day of Sonoran Beauty
Start your day with a 50 minute full body massage of your choice for the ultimate in relaxation followed by Decleor’s Evidence Facial Lift for radiating complexion. Replenishing with rich minerals and hydration. Enjoy a chilled Limonada, herbal tea or glass of wine with a Hacienda Salad or Sandwich by the Jacuzzi. Enjoy a one-half hour massage and hand softening treatment to reduce roughness (light manicure without the polish.)  60 minutes  $45

Gentleman’s Facial
A deep-cleansing therapeutic facial designed for the skin care needs of men. Specifically addresses sensitivity and razor burn. (Shaving is not recommended prior to facial.)

Gentleman’s Pedicure
40-minute treatment in Jacuzzi chairs to soften dry, rough skin through exfoliation, cleansing and massage.  $40

Stress Buster Escape (two hours)
Begin with a deep tissue massage to work out the kinks and stress in your body with special attention given to the calf, back and neck areas. Herbal lotion will be used to replenish dry skin. Follow by a Gentleman’s Facial. Nourish dry skin caused by sun damage and minimize facial lines. Relaxing hand and foot massage will complete your combination treatment.  $95
