Every January, the streets of Alamos are awash with the sound of music during the Festival Alfonso Ortiz Tirado (FAOT). By day, the plaza comes to life with artisan displays, indigenous music presentations, stands selling all kinds of treats to eat and wonderful workshops for the children. There are music performances from 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 a.m. All of them are special. You can pick and choose or attempt to catch them all. At night, venues fill with music lovers enjoying opera, bel canto and classical music played and sung by luminaries from around the world. Many of these gifted artists lodge at Hacienda de los Santos, and the property becomes a private stage for their daily rehearsals. Come join us for one of Alamos’ most beloved festivals!
